Freezing...

Still winter...the coldest period for decades as I recall it.  Last week passed in a furios tempo...the weekend as well. Some dressage practice on Saturday morning, obviously to cold for the horse as well as for the rider. Spent some hours in the afternoon watching  the kids at the race track. Gorgeus weather...but still quite cold. Managed to get some nice shots as well.

Sunday morning, a freezing experience. Show jumping competition for Maja and Joy Ride. 1st competition this year, and a soft start with a clear round, and a LC competition. Zero faults on both classes so everybody was quite happy :) Just one minor problem, the temperature was more than low...-22 centigrades when we left the stable in the morning. Slightly warmer during the day when the sun showed up...but still quite cold. I think everybody was quite happy to be back in the stable at lunch :)

On the road...

Cities of Köping and Västerås this week...not so far away but still some 350 km in total travelling during two days. A lot of work performing cutting tests at customers...but also some time for a beer and food with my colleagues during the hotel stay in Västerås.

Oxyfuel cutting at the customer's site...

Back in the office now to take care of all the administrative stuff gathered during the week...

Travelling...

...is great fun, but in some cases (at least when it comes to work related trips) it gets to much...Since my last post Feb 7, I have mostly been on tour...Customer visits all over the country, like last week....two days in Linköping..then a 240 km drive up to Arlanda Airport for a late flight to Luleå (north of Sweden), then back home on Wednesday evening...followed by a 200 km drive to (and from) Nyköping on Thursday. Sigh...Friday...and the weekend came as a relief more or less :) Then a fresh start on Monday morning, a trip to cities of Köping and Västerås for two days. Not that far away from home, but still...Today is Wednesday...gotta stay in the office now to take care of all the administrative stuff. Complaining?...no :) As I said...great fun, but the planning could be better...

Anyhow..last weekend was surprisingly :-) enough spent in the stable(s) ...Friday..dressage practice for Maja and the pony, Saturday.. pony racing practice at Angarn, also a short visit at Louise'e stable to take some photos of one of the ponies..Gina. Gina is sold and was to be picked up by her new owner on Sunday, so it was about time to take some last photos...
Amadeus..                                              Gina...
Gina...

Sunday...was great fun. Loverly weather, sunny and lots of snow. First...some work in the stable, but then..some real fun :) Kind of skijoring...pulled by a horse and standing on skis :) Absolutely hilarious...
After that...some relly nice riding with Maja..galloping and trotting on the snowy roads...and then a slow walk home through the forest and across the fields...fantastic experience...

Busy, busy...

Monday morning...again?!? The days are passing to fast at the moment. Busy weekend as usual, some dressage practice on Saturday morning, then a quick glance at the show jumping practice at Foderby. Lunch, and then some pony racing practice for Maja. We had some nice two hours of watching the kids practice for the first time this year. A snow track on the field was prepared...great for the ponies. They seemed to enjoy it...all of them Nice warm weather...and some great photos as well...Tired but quite relaxed during Saturday evening. ...
Yesterday  was a bit of a slow day..but I managed to get some cleaning done, also a long walk with the dog....and finally some work preparation for the upcoming week..

Meanwhile...good news from Denmark. Malin and Toscanini qualified for dressage MSvA in their first attempt. Placed 2nd in the first class, and the 1st in the second class (69,4%)...Congrats Malin! Finally the effort starts paying off :).

Some reflections...

Still awake although it is midnight...as usual a lot of photo editing to do before I can call it a day...Looking back in the archives, the winter is still going strong but since spring is getting closer I picked up some shots on the flowers of the upcoming season...truly inspiring. :)

A new start...

The blog has been down for a couple of months now. I have not been totally inactive, for a period I used a Swedish verison at blogg.se. Want to shape up your Swedish? Then you may try reading the other blog www.bwfoto.blogg.se :) New features and possibilities made me change back to Blogger, hopefully I will stay for a while. Meanwhile, I will try to have parallel blogs, just to satisfy my Swedish followers. I will not transfer my old text into this blog, just continue where I left.

Yesterday was spent at my offfice, nice sunny weather made me go to the Race Track during lunch time to get some nice action shots. The sun is nice, but it creates some problems in terms of photographing. After minor (hm) adjustments in the camera I managed to get some decent shots. I really have to practice before the eventing season starts...

The evening was spent with Maja...some show jumping practice for her and the pony "Joy Ride". Returned home at 9 pm, tired but quite happy with the day. Today will be another day at the office, taking care of administrative stuff. Some preparation also for travelling during next week.

Pony racing

Last weekend was spent in Rättvik, Dalarna...a small city in the north, a neat 4 hours drive from Stockholm. 6 Shetland ponies, jockeys and parents spent the whole weekend at an event called "Hästliv Siljan" (Horselife Siljan). As a part of the event, the kids where asked to perform a steeple chase show. The race was a success, the audience where thrilled as well as the jockeys.
